FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Before installing
How much does a home system cost?
A typical 4.5 kWp system (10 modules) costs around €6,950 including VAT, installed and registered. With a Reserva 10 battery, around €11,900. You get a fixed price after the site visit.
How much will I save?
It depends on how much you use and when. A family using 4,900 kWh a year usually saves €600–750 a year without a battery and €950–1,100 with one. Your proposal gives your figure, not an average.
What's the payback period?
For homes, 7 to 10 years. For businesses, 4 to 6. Panels produce for more than 25 years.
Are there subsidies?
Many Spanish municipalities offer property-tax and building-tax rebates for several years. We tell you what's available where you live and help you apply. We never include uncertain subsidies in the payback calculation.
My roof doesn't face south. Does it work?
Almost always. An east-west roof produces 12–18% less than a south-facing one, but spreads production better across the day.
My roof is fibre cement.
We don't install on fibre cement: it may contain asbestos. We'll put you in touch with an authorised removal company and install afterwards.
I live in a flat.
You can join a collective self-consumption scheme with your neighbours. We'll explain it at your residents' meeting.
The installation
How long does it take?
About 3 weeks from accepting the proposal to installation day. Installation takes one day. Full grid registration takes 1 to 3 months; you self-consume in the meantime.
Who comes to my home?
A Luxsolaris crew of 2 or 3 people with a crew leader. They'll call the day before to confirm the time.
Do I need to be home?
At the start and at the end. When they finish, the crew leader shows you the system, the switchboard and the app. It takes about 20 minutes and is worth it.
Will you drill holes in my roof?
On tiles, we lift them, fix the bracket to the roof structure and replace them with a sealing piece. On metal sheet we use fixings with watertight seals. On flat roofs, ballast, no drilling.
Afterwards
What happens in a power cut?
Without a battery, the system disconnects for safety, as regulations require. With a Reserva battery and backup kit, the circuits you choose keep working.
What happens to the energy I don't use?
It goes to the grid and your supplier deducts it from your bill (simplified surplus compensation). If you have a battery, it charges first.
How long do the panels last?
Aster modules have a 30-year performance warranty: at least 87.4% of initial output in year 30. The inverter is usually replaced once in the system's life; it has a 10-year warranty.
Do they need cleaning?
Rain does most of the work. In dusty areas or near farmland we recommend one clean a year, included in the Home Care plan.
I can't see my system in SolarisTrack.
Check that the Lux Gateway light is solid green. If it flashes orange, it has lost Wi-Fi. If that doesn't fix it, call +34 000 000 003.
How do I sign in to the customer portal?
With your email or phone number and a 6-digit PIN, or with your Google, Facebook or Apple account.
How does the referral programme work?
In the app, under Invite your friends, share your link. When someone installs with us, you each get €50 off your next maintenance bill or an accessory.
